Where can I park?

Our taproom is located at 58 Voorhis Lane, but we also occupy the building directly across the street at 55 Voorhis Lane.  You are free to park in either lot!  Overflow parking on weekends is available in legal parking spots on our street, as well as along both sides of Johnson Avenue.  Parking around back on Burlews Court is the best kept secret and is only a short walk.  Getting creative is on you, but we appreciate you using only legal parking spaces and being respectful to our neighbors.

Why don't you have more parking?

Let’s face it:  This is North Jersey. No one has enough parking, not even the mall.  We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible but things occasionally get tight.  Parking is good along both sides of Johnson Avenue, and you can easily walk between us an Hackensack Brewing down the block.  Make the best of it!

Do you have food?

We are in an awesome town, so we do frequently have food trucks in the immediate area.  You are also encouraged to bring food with you or to order from any of our area’s fine food establishments–especially if you’re planning on hanging out with us for a few hours.  Production breweries like us aren’t allowed to sell food, but we do carry a line of beer-friendly snacks called ‘Drunkables’.  Whatever you choose, please enjoy our beer responsibly and grab a bite by whatever means you prefer.  Ask a bartender about their favorite local spots!

Can I bring a group an can i get a reservation or will you hold a table?

You are more than welcome to bring a group of any size, but we do appreciate reservations in advance.  If your group is 8 or larger, there is a $30 per person minimum.  Without a reservation, everything is first-come-first-served.  This also means you can’t “reserve” your own table by sending an advance team to stake the place out.  As always, we will do our absolute best to accommodate everyone.  If you don’t have a reservations, feel free to call ahead and we’ll be happy to provide advice about the best time to arrive or provide other options to give you the best shot at getting what you’re looking for.

Are you kid friendly?

Yes!  Well, partially.  Our kid friendly hours are from 12-4 on Saturday and Sunday.  Please note that we are a production brewery so there are many non-kid-safe elements to the Alementary experience.  Please be mindful!

Are you dog friendly?

We *were* 100% dog friendly but for now we are only dog friendly in our outdoor Biergarten.  As the story goes, in Health Department Land, having a dog in a brewery is the worst possible thing that could happen.  Call your state legislators and ask them to support S2753/A4264 which can straighten this mess out.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes!  Cash, credit, Apple pay, whatever.  If it represents US currenty and you can pay with it, we’ll take it.

Do you give an NJCB discount?

We do not.

What's on tap / can I get my growler filled / what's in cans?

We’re constantly creating new things, so the tap list changes frequently along with can availability.  You can check our online menu (which is the same as our menu in the taproom), or on Untappd, or call ahead.

We aren’t currently filling growlers.  Products to go are in cans, and in crowlers if we don’t have cans available.

Do you fill Corny kegs?

Nope.

Can I buy a keg from you?

We rarely have sixtels in stock and available for retail.  The selection is limited and varies based on our brew schedule. If you are looking for something specific, let a bartender know and they’ll work with the production team to get it done for you.  If you are a liquor store, bar/restaurant, or beer purveyor looking to carry The Alementary please call us and we can put you in touch with our sales representatives.

Do you have gift cards?

Yes!  if you visit in person we have lovely gift cards that can be loaded up with however much you like the person you’re giving it to.  We also have electronic gift cards available here

Can I work for you?

The Alementary is a small, close-knit team and we seldom have any vacancies–even for interns.  Cultural fit is very important to us so we when we do have openings we make a big deal of it so that we can find the right people.  If there’s no listing here on the website, then we don’t have any positions available.
